F E A T U R I N G:

These canopy systems were specifically designed and engineered for conventional military operations. This round canopy is similar to those pictured. The actual specs are;

G-14 Cargo Parachute Canopy

The 34 ft. G-14 cargo parachute was developed in the early 1970's primarily for airdrops up to 500 pound load. The G-14 has 32 gores, each of which contains two annular rings, and weighs 25 pounds.

Design specs: Bi-conical - Annular ring, 34 foot diameter, 32 gores, 32 of 27'-6" length suspension lines, 30" risers, Cotton Polyester cloth camo green #483, 400# tensile strength

The G-14 canopy uses the following;
G-14 Pack (deployment bag) p/n 51D6553, Type bag - Locking Closure, material - 12.5oz 800# test, Camouflage green
Static line, p/n 11-1-219, 3/4" Nylon webbing, 2300# tensile strength with PS 70086-1 clevis rated 20,000#
Static line drogue, p/n 61D2459PIA-C-7219

    This item is ONLY the CANOPY. No static line, shroud lines, accessories or pilot chute included. Some accessories like bags, lines and clevis's are normally available separately.
  • The military remove all lines before release to the public for liability reasons. It is possible to re-line a cargo canopy quite easily, but that function should be referred to your local parachute loft.

  • This type of canopy was designed for heavy equipment and should NEVER be considered for any type of personnel use.
  • If you are into aircraft airplanes wings chutes air drops or cargo parachutes this may be for you. This is a military surplus item in good condition with no warranty or suggestion about suitability for any specific purpose. Buyer accepts full responsibility for use.
