F E A T U R I N G:

  • These canopy systems were specifically designed and engineered for conventional military operations. This round canopy is similar to those pictured. The actual specs are;

  • T-10C Canopy is manufactured using the latest revision of material listed and new U.S. Army material color Camouflage Green #483 in Technical Data. The T-10C Canopy is manufactured in strict accordance with Personnel Parachute U.S. Military Specifications MIL-DTL-6645, MIL-DTL-7567 and MIL-STD-849, latest revisions.
    The T-10 extended skirt parachute was standardized by the U.S. Government as a troop personnel parachute in the early 1950’s, and has been used successfully since that time with relatively few modifications. The major change to the basic canopy was made in 1976 with the addition of anti-inversion netting to the skirt (old Part Number 11-1-1501 - T-10B). This so improved the reliability of an already very dependable parachute that many canopies already in service were retrofitted with the netting. The T-10B Canopy was further improved to new version T-10C, Part Number 11-1-1501-2, in November, 1986, by increasing the Pocket Band free length from 4” to 7-1/2” and decreasing the Pocket depth from 5” to 4-1/4”. This change reduced the opening shock by providing a slightly larger diameter at the skirt hem; providing a lower rate of descent and a “softer” landing. All T-10B Canopies in service have now been upgraded to the new Pocket Band length. All T-10C assemblies material color was changed to the new U.S. Army color Camouflage Green #483 in 1995.

    These canopies have over 950 square feet of excellent parachute nylon material that can be used as Racing parachutes by removing gores until the X pattern is the right size for your car. Great material for Rocket parachutes, kids tents or car covers. makes one HUGE 35' Diameter shade canopy or attention getter by inflating with a big air blower, i.e. Stake several lines to the ground and point a BIG air blower up in the center. We used one of these with an electric silent air blower on a tall stand to cover our tables at a flea mart. It took a bit to set up, but wow was it an attention getter. I'll try to set it up again and take some pictures to add here.
